The short version

What we collect, and why

When you ask for a discount code

Our sign-up page at go.gnarlygoatcoffee.com asks for your name and email address. Those go into GoHighLevel, the customer system we use to send your code and a short series of follow-up emails about the coffee. That is the entire purpose. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing is honored immediately.

When you place an order

Orders are placed on gnarlygoat.coffee, which runs on Square. Square collects the information needed to complete a sale: name, email, shipping address, and payment details. Square processes the payment directly. Card numbers are never transmitted to us and we could not retrieve one if we tried. What we see is the order itself, so we know what to roast and where to send it.

When we ship

Shipping labels are created through Shippo, which needs the delivery address to produce a label and a tracking number. Branded apparel is printed and shipped by Printful, which receives the same shipping details for the same reason.

When you subscribe to Supply Drop

Supply Drop is a recurring order billed through Square on the schedule you pick. Square stores the payment method on file so the subscription can renew. We see the subscription and its schedule; we do not see the card.

This website specifically

gnarlygoatcoffee.com is a brochure. It has no forms, sets no cookies, and runs no analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising scripts. We do not know who visits it.

Two things do load from other companies, and honesty requires naming them: the page fonts come from Google Fonts, and one animation library comes from the jsDelivr CDN. Loading a file from another company's server necessarily reveals your IP address to that company, the same as visiting any website. Neither is used to identify you, and neither is under our control.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs.

Who else touches your information

Only the companies we need to actually run the business, and only for that purpose:

Each of these has its own privacy policy governing what it does with the data it handles. We do not send your information anywhere else, and we do not sell it. The only other circumstance in which we would hand anything over is a valid legal requirement to do so.

How long we keep things

Order records stay as long as we need them for tax and accounting purposes. Email sign-ups stay until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them.

Your choices

Email us at anthony@gnarlygoat.coffee and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live you may have a formal legal right to those things; we would rather just do it than argue about which statute applies. Deleting your information does not erase completed order records we are required to retain.

To stop marketing email, use the unsubscribe link in any message or email us. Either works.

Children

This is a coffee company. The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top. Material changes to how we handle email sign-ups will be sent to the list.
